Juliana Spahr

Juliana Spahr, née en 1966 dans l’Ohio, obtient son doctorat en anglais de l’Université d’État de New York à Buffalo. Elle enseigne à l’université publique d’Honolulu, à Hawaï, de 1997 à 2003, et publie la revue indépendante CHAIN avec Jena Osman de 1993 à 2005. Depuis 2003, elle enseigne la poésie au Mills College d’Oakland, en Californie. Elle cultive des fruits, des légumes et des plantes indigènes chez elle à Berkeley, élève son fils né en 2007, écrit des critiques et donne des conférences. Activiste féministe et anticapitaliste, elle participe en 2011 au mouvement Occupy Oakland.
